It’s only when we truly know and understand that we have a limited time on earth — and that we have no way of knowing when our time is up — that we will begin to live each day to the fullest, as if it was the only one we had.
– Elisabeth Kubler-Ross
Many a times, we live life like a zombie. Just going through the motion of things, rushing through things, etc. Either a close call w death or some traumatizing event gets us thinking again. What are we living life for? Why are we rushing through things? If we’re going to die tomorrow, will you still be rushing life and just going through the motion? Or would you scamper to finish off unfinished business? Say ‘I love you’ to your loved ones, try to finish whatever you have yet to said for the past years to someone, etc.
I don’t say I live life to the fullest. I try. That’s all I can say. I don’t know when I’ll go. But it doesn’t exactly affect me ‘cos when I do, I won’t say things like “there’s so many more things I want to do/say” etc etc. I cherish what I have now. The people around me. I do err definitely. I’m not as wise as those who’ve been through much more than me. Nor am I living life better than anyone else. But I’m living my life. I do think that that’s enough. Life yours today (:
