Today my daughter was eating ice cream outside of a store when a young man came up to her.
He started talking to her and she talked about books, school, and dogs with him. When we had to leave, she gave him a hug goodbye. He had down syndrome. Her ability to see through people’s disabilities GMH.

It’s nice to know that there are people out there who do actually look past disabilities. But it’s a pity that they’re mostly young children. Too innocent to know about the world. What it really is like. The world out there is harsh. Sometimes, I just wonder why people can’t seem to look past disabilities in others.
No I’m not saying that everyone doesn’t look past it. Some people just don’t. The worst are those who make a big fuss out of it. If you think they’re weird, well, being different doesn’t mean they ‘re weird. It’s just that you don’t act/think/do things like them. That’s all. To them, you’re weird.
